About Our Founder
As Owner and Founder of DAD’S Mobile Auto Maintenance, I started what I believe, is a need for Sandhills NC area citizens. As a kid growing up in Wyoming and Idaho, I was surrounded by ranchers, loggers, farmers, truck drivers, roughnecks and many others who instilled in me the importance of working hard every day to provide for your family and to keep our great country moving. I worked during my Junior High and High School years at various jobs so I could buy my first car and to help support my love of motorcycles and driving. One of my after-school jobs was at a local Jeep/Eagle dealership where I learned how to work on cars. I started out just washing cars but quickly moved up doing more technical repairs on my own. Shortly after graduating High School, I joined the Army serving 8 years as a Diesel Mechanic then after 8 years I continued serving in another capacity. After 22 years of service, I retired in Moore County NC. After serving our country I was ready for another challenge. I have always enjoyed working, fixing and being around cars and trucks. My love of the automotive industry, paired with the frustration of waiting in car repair shops, inspired the idea for a more convenient auto maintenance service. The name comes from what I love most, being a dad to my two sons. My hobbies include riding motorcycles, going to hockey games, working on my property and being the best Dad I can be.
The Beginning
As Owner and Founder, I created DAD’S for several reasons. An important part of our daily lives is our vehicle which we depend on to get us to our jobs, doctor’s appointments, kids to school and after school events, church on Sunday, family vacations or just a drive on a beautiful sunny day with the windows down and the radio up. We depend on our vehicle everyday which means we need to keep it running, healthy and safe every day. I also believe every driver should know the basic workings of the vehicle they are driving. This is why I named it DAD’S. I believe it’s important that dad teach his kids how to maintain their vehicle when they start to learn how to drive. I want DAD’S to do the same, help educate drivers on the basic maintenance of their vehicle to give them knowledge and confidence every driver should have. Therefore, I will do my best to not only provide excellent service when maintaining your vehicle but also try to teach and help those understand the basic maintenance of their vehicle. It is said, Knowledge is Power, and I believe this is true.
Another reason I founded DAD’S is convenience. Because we all have busy lives it is difficult to find the time to do those things outside of our daily routine, such as getting work done on our vehicles. Nobody is excited about taking time out of their busy day to go wait in a repair facility or try to find someone to give you a ride back and forth. The simple, but important, repairs on a car should not be an inconvenience. DAD’S will come to you, so you can go about your daily routine and still get your automotive needs taken care of, just like a dad should do. Finally, the time has come to make auto maintenance better, smarter and more convenient.
